Gavin is one of our Trustees and brings a passion for improving people’s live and making things better.  Gavin has worked across probation, social care, mental health and employment, both within the public and private sector, in a broad range of roles where the common thread throughout all his roles is bringing real improvements to business processes, organisational design and, ultimately, the communities supported.  Gavin enjoys the outdoors and can often be found up in the hills with his family.

Anne is married to Jacques and between them they have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. She feels she has the perfect job, serving God and doing administration for COTS. Her previous jobs include deputy head teacher, running a bed & breakfast in France, then working at a chateau there. When not at work she loves doing puzzles and reading.

Trudi works closely with Pastor Emma supporting Emma’s work in Burnley and on the Recovery Academy. Most of the time Trudi can be found up in the Pastoral Office, but loves popping into the COTS café for a chat, keeping up to date with the team, and ensuring the work in the office is benefiting the COTS community. Trudi joined COTS when her and her husband were looking for a church in Burnley, they stayed because they experienced and could see the love of Jesus! When not working at at COTS Trudi can be found looking after her little girl as well as in an allotment causing havoc!

Emma has a passion for seeing women develop and grow and be set free from the struggles of life that hold them back. Emma was ordained in 2022 and joined COTS as Assistant Pastor in 2023. You will find her providing pastoral support in Preston, Burnley, and Barnoldswick and is currently developing the COTS Recovery Academy.

Kevin looks after the Hub, making sure everyone is safe and has what they need, you will regularly find him on the road helping people who have fallen through the gaps of society. After meeting Pastor Mick during his recovery, Kevin is passionate about giving back to people and seeing them turn their lives around – and he works hard to do it. At the weekends, Kevin loves fitness training and getting out into nature with a good hill walk.

Pastor Mick is the lead pastor of COTS, overseeing the charity and the church. Committed to the cause, he’s always out and about serving his community wherever there is need: outside McDonald’s, in the van, at The Hub and all over Burnley. Mick is passionate about standing in the gaps of injustice and is proud that COTS offers a safe structure for employees, friends and communities to come together as equals. In his spare time, Mick prays and spends time with God. He also enjoys the company of his wife, Sarah – and a long walk with his dog, Ozzy.

Mick is also an ordained Bishop with The International Christian Church Network.

Nicola came to COTS after working in local council for thirteen years. Now, she provides one to one support for people who struggle to get access to housing and benefits as well as managing the growing number of partnerships. Wherever the need is, Nicola will be there: at her desk, taking time to listen – or making a brew. She loves COTS’ vision and thinks it’s a very special place to work. Once she’s back home, Nicola unwinds by cooking a delicious meal, or reading a book. Like the rest of the team, she also loves a scenic walk!
